Hate to sound like an infomercial, but I got my cable installed and I never thought music could sound that great! I have it hooked up to my phone and use an app called power amp on Note 2. All I have to say is amazing!!!

I have an 06 E61 without CD Changer

Do you know where people have routed their AUX's to? I saw the video with the cubby holder and I've seen the glove box. Just curious about the different locations.

people mount them in the rear center console next to the 12v plugs, inside the console, the glovebox, the cubby holder, and my favorite which i have been installing on a lot of cars lately is right on the slot where the DSC/PDC button is. here is my car...sorry im working on vinyl wrapping the trim and experimented with carbon look.

That DSC location is probably the best, but it's hard to do it if you have the cold weather package. I had to install it underneath the DSC button.

The inline resistor is to protect your stereo by limiting current. If a defective device or the wrong device (e.g.: an amplified output) was to be plugged in, you may end up bricking your stereo.

I would not recommend removing the current limiting resistor.
