2005 White 545i 6-sp manual Lease @ $760/mth

Well, I've made the tough decision to let go of my baby... I got married a couple of months ago and now my wife just got a job in Manhattan, where I also work. So we're gonna move to the city, and it doesn't make sense to have two cars... since she can't drive stick, I'm gonna have to let go of my weekend fun car. Plus the Z4 is nice and small which fits the city parking and driving "pains" better.
Anways, I've put it up on LeaseTrader.com and wanted to know what you guys think of the offer... I got lucky with this car... unlike my previous e46 3 series and e65 745Li, this car has had zero issues in the year I've owned it. Not even a single rattle yet.

Got a great deal on the lease cuz we got it through my wife's high school classmate who happens to work at Rallye BMW in NY. Added a little incentive to lower costs down... $760 a month including taxes for this ride ain't a bad deal, whaddaya think? It's literally a brand new car.

How does lease trader work? When you transfer the lease, are you still responsible for the payment if the new leasee doesnt pay? I thought thats what I read somewere.

Luckily for me, BMW Financial allows complete transfer. So no responsibilities once the transfer is done.
I just posted on Swapalease.com too... we'll see which one is better from my experience. So far, have some "bites" in both of them... really prefer a New Yorker though, since then, TAXES are already included in my payments and it becomes quite a good deal.
Any New Yorkers here?

There is a guy over on bimmerfest.com looking to buy a 6speed e60. I pointed your car out to him. He wants an all cash deal. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=174195

Hey vegastrashed,
Thanks for the lead man! You're like the online matchmaker
Let's see if our interests are aligned... always would rather do a deal with a forum member, be it here or at the 'fest.

Nope, haven't gotten in touch with the person, but I think he will be better off checking out Ebay since he's looking for a cash deal. My lease setup is a good one, but he could probably find better deals on cars to buy outright from people who may have to unload in a hurry.
Getting close though... have 'lease' buyers... interestingly. Still no NY takers, but I'm going to have to make a decision soon.
Some feedback re: LeaseTrader.com vs. Swapalease.
IMO, LeaseTrader.com is better for the following reasons:
- no Dealers! Swapalease allows dealers to advertise 'lease transfers' on their sites, and they add a lot of garbage noise
- LeaseTrader actually tells buyers if sales tax is included in the monthly lease price or not- this can affect the monthly payments and can be misleading
- Swapalease does not have as good logging (each page view is logged, even if it's the same person loading the page over and over which is misleading). LeaseTrader distinguishes between search hits, page views, etc. and knows if it's the same person loading the page over and doesn't increment the counter
- LeaseTrader will waive the BMW Financial transfer fee of $450
Swapalease does have one advantage though... it has a much larger audience. But the quality is not as good, thanks to all the dealers posting there.
So far, have about twice as many interested buyers in LeaseTrader than in Swapalease at the moment.
I'll let you guys know how it pans out.
