He all, I just got a new car this week. I finally broke down and bought an M5! Now i need to get rid of my 545. Here it is.....
2005 545I
It has 11000 miles on her. I purchased her brand new last october with 14 miles. She is pretty much fully loaded except, there is not navigation in this car. It also does not have the fold down seats. I believe the color is called silver gray.
Here is a discription of the options on the car
Black leather interior
Sport Package
Sirius Satellite radio
Park distance control
Automatic, with steptronic
Autiomatic dimming rearview mirror
Lumbar seats
Cold winter package......(heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and high pressures headlight washers)
Standard 18" star spoke alloy wheels.....(18x9.0 rear wheels, and 10x8.0 front wheels)
Plus the list of standard features.
Has premium sounds system with 6 disc in the glove compartment and one in the dash for a total of 7 cds.
Plus the 325HP 4.4litre V-8 motor.
Car also has tinted windows.
I purchased this vehile with a 3 year lease. There is still 2 years left on the lease. New buyer can assume the lease. Terms are 3000 down, and can assume the remainder of the lease. My payments are 718.00 a month plus i am guessing your states sales tax, and the car is 1.5 APR. There is a $460 transfer fee for the new leasee. BMW will do all the paper work for us. The pay off on the car is around 55000.00 if you think you would rather purchase it. The lease end date is October 15, 2008 with an option lease end buyout of $37,700.
The new 550's are between 65000-70000 now. For 3000 down, there is no way you can come close to these payments. Like i said, got the new car, and need to get this one gone. Just came back from the BMW dealer with its first oil change. The car does not need anything, just a new home. Car is in perfect conditon, as it should be for 11000 miles. Please feel free to call me 916-804-6305 if you have questions on the car. My email is lightingball2@aol.com too. The car is located in Sacramento California. Never been on snowy roads at all!

Just to let you know, no one is going to assume your lease if they have to pay you $3K. If you look at lease websites, the person wanting to dump their lease is offering money to the person who will be assuming it. The are exceptions to this.
For example, someone with an e60 M5 wanting to let go of their lease payments which is a bargain will have people bidding on eBay to assume the lease. I'm sorry to tell you but you won't get the same kind of reaction for a 550.

Check out swapalease.com or leasetrader.com. You should be able to get out of your lease fairly easily.

Actually, a buddy of mine got a great deal on a very low mileage $65,420 MSRP 2005 545i via swapalease and paid $2750 up front and something like $600 per month with 24 months left on lease. He said the seller (moving to NYC) indicated there were numerous people who could not understand why an upfront was necessary (per vegatrashed's observation).
People will pay the upfront as long as the effective payment is low enough ($600/mo + $2750/24 mo = $715/mo). My friend's seller put a big downpayment ($7500?) down so that is why he has such a low ($600) payment.
Just make sure you explain it well on swapalease (may want to list the effective payment then explain in description box that you already paid a large upfront payment at time of lease inception). I would shoot for a low effective price relative to other listings so to sell it quickly as you are not using the car.
FYI, unfortunately the 550i currently has a super low money factor (.00015) so the pre-tax payment on a car ($2750 off MSRP of $65,195) is only about $850/month via the BMW website so I would assume you will need to dramatically cut your upfront payment requirement. :'(
Good luck on the sale!
