Get your next car delivered at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina (or just visit there if you want.)

You can get a tour of the factory where they build Z4s and X5s -- there is a VPC inside the factory so you can see the same thing as the pictures plus you get to see the actual manufacturing of the cars...

Hhaha I was there! That site was made by a MINI owner... from North American Motoring...

They're having that same tour this year October 15th for BMW CCA members. Last year it was $10 a person and included an AWESOME BBQ! Well worth it!

Thanks for sharing! This is great!
Hmmmmm. Maybe that's why my 328i arrived with a *fingerprint* embedded just under the clearcoat... Who knows what may have happened to it during import.

Whatever damage it may have seen, it now has 165,000 miles on it and runs great!

Rudy, how large is the vpc in the S.C. factory? Back in December, when I was tracking the shipment of my car, I called what seemed like a thousand people trying to find out where the VPC for the port of Charleston is. I talked to several people in different departments at the factory, and no one, not one single person knew what the VPC was or where it was located. Two even said there was certainly nothing like that at the plant. Go figure.

That's incredible. You mean you actually were talking to people at the Spartanburg factory and they didn't know about the VPC? I can't say how big or how small it is compared to other VPCs but it was part of the tour and explained in detail. I mean, you're walking through a factory that makes only Z4s and X5s and all of a sudden you're in an area that has brand new 7s, 5s, 3s, Minis, etc. How could you work there and not see that? Bizarre!
