Well, season 9 only of the "reborn" top gear - the show ran for about 30 years before the current format was introduced!

Calmer and looking older I think. Not surprising though after what he went through. Something like that makes you really reasses your life. I speak from experience too.

Marc

I thought the episode was amazing. The Hamster looks 10 years older and seems to have lost his sparkle. If ever I was to have a lads night in and I had a choice to invite it would be those three. Can you imagine the crack? They really look as if they love going to work on a monday morning

The things he says in the film just before the crash are incredible, it's like he knew it was goping to happen.

saw it last night and it was very good show,
I like the road works part, this proves that UK is still very slow on working, In HK they can lay a road within 5h, I seen them do it,
I used to work in UK and all people that I know are slow workers. I think itis called lazy
The crash was , if you were doing over 200mph I would change the tyres every run, alfter all tyres are the man key to a car, no rubber not car

On the review of the new Jag (Top Gear), they mentioned it does 0-100mph of 13 seconds. This got me wondering what my 530D (218) achieves this in. Anyone know ?

It was great to see Top Gear back but does anyone else agee that, for a 1 hr show, there was very little content to interest the real petrol (or diesel) head. Building roads, interviewing celebs etc is more general light entertainment than car show eh? Exotica is great however I would also like to see more run of the mill models being put through their paces.

I remember years ago Tiff Needel on Top Gear's previous incarnation, was driving the newly launched Ford Focus with 3 passengers on board. At 50mph he (using the hand brake) threw the car into a 360 degree spin then calmly continued ahead. This was some of the most amazing car TV I have ever seen and, without words, demonstrated the leap ahead the Focus represented over it's predecessor. Regular car, great TV.

Any thoughts?
