Redelivery!

38 days after dropping the 335d off at the Harms office in Garching, I was officially reunited mit meinem Auto in the States.
(Unofficially, of course, I was reunited yesterday as I accompanied mein Auto through the VDC - if you havenīt seen my write-up of the VDC process with ca. 30 photos of the car going through the facility, click here.)
The one and only Ricki Shamen, Asst. Sales Mgr. at BMW of Tenafly, had the car all ready for me as I drove up in an X6 ActiveHybrid. The tank was fuel, the Zollkennzeichen were still there (although she installed the front bracket for me since Iīll need that) and I quickly ran off to have my winter tires fitted given the potential of significant Schnee later tonight and tomorrow.

Congratulations!!!! I have been following your updates. I can't even imagine your anticipation through the process. What was it like at the VDC when it was within reach? Thanks for all the insight into this process.
Best wishes to you on a wonderful purchase. I had the privilege of taking a 335d for a loaner for two days, and it embodies everything BMW and more. Makes me even more jealous of all the diesel e60 owners in europe! Now you have some serious documentation for this build and delivery!
I hope to take a Euro delivery some day
P.S. Were you surprised to see the VDC take your car through an automatic car wash? I was. I'm sure they are careful, but it's automatic!

No, not surprised but thatīs because I knew it was there from prior visits. (My first visit to the VDC was at the end of 2005.)
