Just got the latest Motor Trend, the 2006 new car issue. Brief summaries of all 2006/2007 models, each car gets a mini review and a final comment in bold caps. For the E60, they give it a positive summary, but the final bold caps comment is the interesting bit:

"OKAY BANGLE: YOU WERE RIGHT"

Of the BMW designs under the direction (directly or indirectly) of Chris Bangle ...

E60 is great, bold and boldacious

E85 (Z4) is terrible :thumbsdown:

E65 (7er) is good, and the 2006 refresh is even better

E90 (3er) is nice, but a bit bland

I like the Z4 from some angles. But, overall its one of the things that makes one go "hummmmm." I wish they had ask my opinion.
