so let me get this strait.... ur saying the 545 does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds..... is that a joke.... thats ridiculously fast.... well it sounds fast
can that be right?
would it be just as fast if not faster in smg?
also, where did u get this info (i understand road and track, but i was wondering if it was the magazine or the web site or what not)

104 MPH is impressive.... I'll be taking my to the drag strip next week and will report back.... I'll be very happy it it hits 104MPH..... my C32 AMG hit 105...... but it feels much quicker than my 545i.....

5.2 seconds???? Holy sh*t. Can't wait until mine arrives in June. C&D showed 5.5 seconds in 2004 for a MANUAL-- I wonder what the difference is?

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
The SMG should be the fastest. Steptronic has hydraulic and torque converter losses and a traditional manual doesn't consistantly shift as fast.

Dunno if any of you guys noticed but the 545i tested in the June 2005 Road & Track was a 2004 545i with probably CIP 15.0 at most?
Would the performance figures have been better with 16.2 or higher?
