Nice J, great reading and thanx for the vids. New features, screen, menu and controls sound great. "The CIC comes with a hard drive that supports maps, contacts, music, and more and it starts up faster." Nice....

Nice review as usual, Jonathan. I have to say that does look very good - much better than the current system. I've always felt that iDrive was an example of great innovation derailed by poor execution, and it looks like the new version should address most of the complaints and frustrations.

hmm i like old one better..
honestly i dont know how i would feel with a small idrive controller with bunch of buttons. I feel like we are going after what Audi did...

The new idrive looks to be a giant step forward. I still believe touch screen is the way to go.
That said, I prefer my TomTom 920 T to any of the three factory systems we have in our current cars at home. I'd love one of the major manufacturers to just bite the bullet and find a way to integrate the TomTom or Garmin features and interface into their factory offering. It really is so much better.
