BMW M doesn't use runflats on the M3/M5. That should mean a lot...

They do not make RF's in the M sizes. This may mean someting, too.

Yes, it means they aren't manufactured in the correct size for that application.

I don't see Porsche using runflats either. They do testing together with tire manufactures, hence the special N1/N2 spec of your normal (i.e Michelin PS2) tires specifically for Porsche, so sizing is not an excuse. If runflat was a definite advantage, Porsche would have made it a point to use it.
