I just spoke with the insurance investigator from the other party's insurance co. and found out that he told the investigator that "he thought he could make it" when he made the left turn from opposing traffic in front of me.

It was obvious from the accident that that was exactly what he did but, still, I was happy that he admitted it.

An article about my accident (incl. photos) is here.

It's interesting the other party's insurance company would release that information to you ... in this litigious society we live in that's a pretty risky tact! That said, there were no personal injuries - only property damage so except for the inconveniences of getting a car fixed and the wish hope and prayer that the final repair is done satisfactorily ... all's well that ends well!

That's a great story. I am glad there are still people that take responsibility for their actions. Good for them!!!

I was surprised as well but I asked my questions in such a way as to get the most information out of her.

I heard a rumor about "Honest People" and until now thought it was only a rumor!

Was it honesty or was it stupidity? I suppose we'll never know for sure... ;)

Good for the other driver. I would have done exactly the same thing, although I would have never cut off anyone in such stupid manner.

Ja, indeed. First thing he said after the accident was along the lines of "damn, another accident".
