Doesn't sound good to me... electric motors don't belong in a beast :P

Ummm not necessarily.

For example the KERS system in F1 provides around extra 80 bhp at the touch of a button for a few seconds. That's nice, and way nicer than the over boost feature of the 911 Turbo. Of course F1 is F1 and roads cars are different things but i wouldn't mind having a couple of batteries (similar to KERS) or an electric motor charging up from the otherwise wasted energy when the car is driving, that could boost up the performance when needed and/or lower fuel consumption when needed.

Also bare in mind that the fossil fuels reservers are depleting with each and every day, and in maximum 25-30 years from now we would probably look back at the fossil fuel era as old technology, very expensive and very pollutant. The only thing nostalgic would probably be the sound of the petrol engines.

Already we see the X6 Hybrid being able to squeeze out 80 bhp more with the aid of the electric motor. Also we've seen the Ariel Atom electric car murdering almost any petrol road car in a drag race (if i remember it spanked a Ferrari F430 very bad).

Also i wouldn't mind an M1 with a V8+electric with the performance output of a V10 but with the consumption of a V6. Would you?

So in conclusion, i believe that even if we like it or not, this is the future.
