I spent a few days with a 550i GT and it is a very impressive car.
It does feel larger than a 7er but just a little (and that's because it is larger).
The interior is very close to the 7 in layout and functionality. The rear is very roomy and the hatch/trunk is useful.
Interior and dash, I am sure we'll see a variation of this in the next 5er series.

I have to say I started out with real reservations about the GT, both from a design standpoint and it being an answer to a question I didn't think the market was really asking, but I'm actually starting to warm up to it now (at least a little).

Thanks Jonathan! I've always thought that the 5GT looked okay (never hated it like some people) but when I saw it in person, I liked it even more.
