I think two things are happening here:
1 Those customer reviews are based on expectations, not reliability. Naturally with certain branded and priced cars expectations are higher.
2 Unfortunately you have to put some pressure on the dealer every now and then in order to get things done. In this consumer age people tend to shy away from that. I found that especially with MB and BMW there is a layer of dealer arrogance you have to fight through. Once that's done, you are where you want to be. Squeeky wheel gets the grease.
