An interesting read regarding the future plans of our beloved brand.... |
"Any company that chooses a sales number as its primary and most publicly stated objective is wiring its organization for something that doesn't necessarily have to do with its reputation, quality, or engineering, which are the things that, in BMW's case, are the things that have made it successful," says Charlie Vogelheim, executive editor of auto buying website IntelliChoice.
Think I've read that being said a few different ways around here before.... |
Hyundai is still a long way from taking over, Gene ;)
But yeah, that quote is ON THE BUTTON  Hope BMW finds its way before its peddling half-ass FWD econoboxes to the Chinese... |
The factual evidence is all there. This would also explain why I just don't like the F10. It's not a sport sedan with luxury amenities, it's a luxury sedan with some sport features to appeal to the masses and achieve certain lofty sales goals.
BMW... you seriously need to get back to your roots. Now I'm depressed and am going to sit in the corner in the fetal position. =( |

It sure doesn't seem like they're succeeding - have you seen the F10 September sales numbers?

Yeah, 3 months into a life cycle explains everything right? (By that "logic," the E60 should have failed shortly after being introduced also). Anything more intelligent to say? |

It will be sporty enough for you, I'm sure. |
