The 2010 model year will start early for the 5er in the U.S., probably with March production. MY2010 5ers will get the CIC-based iDrive.
And do we read anything into the March launch of the E60 model year 2010 ... as in the F10 could be here one year after that?

You can check available space by pressing the OPTION button on the console when you're in the CD/Multimedia menu. It shows a list of items where pressing "Memory available" reports you used and available space on the HD.

And even though that I have downloaded one CD, system states that its 100% free.

I was able to confirm that the MY2010 5 series will start production in March. It will have the new navigation system.
