You guys will probably "stone" me for this, but honestly speaking the alpina cars really don't look that great. I would rather take the m5. i just think that the body parts they put on the car just look like if they have been glued to the car and really don't belong to it - just like all the boy racers pimping their golf 3 with spoilers and such. the m5 justs looks more complete. obviously the engine is a different subject - i am just voicing my concerns on the exteriour looks..

Erm, right. Well, one of my problems with the M5 is that it looks far too similar to almost all other E60s, since here in the UK most E60s have the M-Sport bodykit.

When you see one in the metal, trust me, the B5 doesn't look pimped at all - without the stickers, it's far more subtle (subtly menacing) than an M5.

And no, nobody on the board owns a B5S yet, because there haven't been any deliveries just yet.

Nice that BMW finally let Alpina release a car with more official power than the M-equivalent, even if only for a short while. The standard B5 is generally reckoned to put out about 520-530PS, so hopefully the B5S/B6S will put out something nearer 550PS in reality.

The M5 body kit is nice but it has become to common on the road now with the E60 M kit, I have seen so many M kits on the E60 in HK now and itis nothing spaciel any more.
I have only seen 1 Hamann (onlyfront and back), 6 Full ACS and about 30 M kits. I think most people that drive BMW in HK dont know that there are other body kit on the market.
We in HK can not get this Alpina there are no dealers. So only a dream car in HK.

edit: it' s not a kit it is a factory and you cannot buy separatelly even if you write them just if you buy a full car e.g. B5 indeed classy.

Just for your info, HAMANN GmbH is also a registered car factory and not "only" a tuner, but most people buy parts instead of buying ready built new cars, in Dubai and Germany more do...
