That's so funny.

I've just this minute spoken with Mike & Rob at DMS & they're both pi$$ing themsleves laughing & i told them i'll be contacting the press complaints commision

The facts (as agreed with Rob) are that our head to head from a standing start at the bottom of the main runway (the run he's quoting in the magazine article) provided him a 1 car length advantage when crossing the timing beam line, this as stated before was due to him performing a true launch control & me preserving gearbox just flooring mine from idle in Sport mode. His slightly better start gave him the slightest of advantages & this distance was maintained for the entire runway distance & we both crossed the line at exactly the same timing beam speed (either 176MPH 0r 178Mph, i can't recall).

The results board that i posted a link to (link below), clearly shows (factual) that the best speeds for both cars over identical distances on the day were 181Mph, so how does this equal (the RS6 was beaten???).

Very funny story though & i've told Rob that he's a cheaky lying g1t

The proof is out their & i'll take that win

Nice Audi you have there W8, I'd call it a draw with the M5. I have emigrated to a 535d M Sport (delivered in May)from six and a half years running lancer Evo's in various states of tune. My reasons for choosing the 535d was the fact that it is turbocharged and they are easier to upgrade over the N/A V8's. I suspect that your's won't stay unfettled for long. and you can waste these gas guzzling V8's said with a smile by the way, I don't want to make any enemies.

Had, the Audi went in January & was replaced with the 535D M-Sport. The M5 head to head was a draw all day long & DMS know that however it's good PR for them & given we all know the truth i'll just laugh with it (told them i'm recommending MRC from now on as punishment)

IIRC the DMS M5 that Rob was running, was of course de-restricted & was pushing out 545ish BHP, so only a few horses down on mine, although with it being a N/A engine, it had a much lower torque figure than the RS6. Rob had also tweaked that M5 further, by playing & moving the rev-limiters in different gears, to get the maximum power possible in each individual gear.

She's already had the DMS treatment & i'm loving my Bimmer to bits. They truly are fabulous cars & you'll love yours. The Bimmer was never going to match my RS6, as that was putting out over 200BHP more & about 50lbsft torque, however in the real world the differences are not huge & 0-60 in 5.5secs for a DMS 535D is certainly plenty quick enough for me & now returning 36ish MPG

548bhp at the dyno. rev-limiters in 1st is not altered, in 2nd is raised by 200rpm, in third is up by 400rpm, rest are stock
