Hi,
Where can i find a good, detailed one?
The ones i find in the net are too superficial for my taste, with no real measurements, etc.
Thanks!

And if you have wheels over 18'' in size and sports suspension, be prepared to buy non-runflat tyres!
Any help?

Hi,
I am just curious about all type of info from real performance measurements to fuel & some feedback. I have been reading around.
When i buy anything i read all there is (i already downloaded almost all pdfs in the information area, of course :-) - very usefull!).
I like to read good and bad things to get the truth from in between the lines.
I am picking my E61 525d 1st Dec (already got one for my partner) so i am angcious and studying my new toy.
Thanks!

... 525d not much different from 530d in day to day driving - engine sounds a bit more stressed under hard acceleration, doesn't hit 62mph/100kph quite so fast, but otherwise bags of torque (400nm peak) - 6-spd manual is a bit awkwardly geared for town driving (ie 30/40mph limit) but really comes into its own on A-roads and motorways - with mixed urban/non-urban driving I average around 38mpg - on the motorway (doing between 70 and 80mph) about 42-45mpg. Rarely need to use 6th gear... the autobahn gear.

In my tests with Steptronic, i can't get lower than 31mpg... The big diff is when the car is cold and when not on the highway.
What averages do you guys get?
Thanks!

In two 200 mile round trips, I have averaged 41 mpg, keeping below 90 mph on mainly motorways.
525d manual with 3,500 miles on the clock
On short stop start journeys, down to 34 mpg

Just type 34 mpg in Google:
34 miles per gallon = 14.454886 kilometers per liter
