So much for the huge M3 mark-ups. How about huge discounts.
Sam Swope BMW has two M3 coupes with discounts on Ebay, one $4,500 below msrp and one $5,000 below msrp. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...0257158448& http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M3-2008...0250422734& |

Poor economy, rising gas prices...projected sales not being met...not surprised...it would be smart for a dealer to get a few off the lot and on the road, even if at a lower price than expected. I can honestly say I have yet to see an actual M3 coupe or sedan on the road yet...

Great deals if someone is looking for a M3 coupe. |

Yup agree, usually don't see discounts like this until the end of the year, when dealers are trying to clear their lots.
Great deals if someone is looking for a M3 coupe. It has become out of reach for College kids. lol. a friend just bought one at MSRP. i bet he will not be happy. if they were aw/fox - i would have been tempted. |

I said when before it came out that the price is way too high and that BMW are mad. eg for HK pay about 15% more and I can get a M5, so why get a smaller car and smaller engine for only 15% more |
I was speaking to a salesperson at BMW of San Francisco and it appears that there is still demand for M3's - just not the manuals as 85% of orders are for the DCT transmission.

Your sister got an M3?! Wow, you must be jealous. Do you know if the E93 DCT's are available on the lot for test driving?
