Hello everyone,
I just bought a 2001 X5 4.4 from the auction a couple weeks ago. I have no history on the truck, it may have been jump started and it looks like the battery has been changed.
I'm having a problem with the transmission going into safe mode. To go into details, when i strat the truck in the morning and start driving, it drives fine but when it warms up, the transmission feels like its slipping and wont shift down when I come to a stop, therefore, when I take off again, it feels like its slipping because it's still in high gear. I've already changed both in-transmission crank sensors and did adaptation, it seemed to improve a little but the problem is still there. When I put a scanner on, I get a reading with trouble code (PO720). I cleared it once but it came back.
Any suggestions or help would be GREATLY appreciated...
Thanks in advance.
