Guy who lives near me has got black x5 with blacked out windows and 'spinners' like the ones shown in this pic:

in my opinion spinners arnt bad...they just dont fit on german cars...
spinners are supose to make a car look better...
that doesnt work with german cars as they are already good looking..
they also bring attention...which the car already does on its own...

First time I saw spinners it was on a big black SUV. We were going into a stop on a red light and I was staring at his wheels. I thought he was going to hit the small Toyota in front of him 
.
The spinners give you the illusion that the car is still moving forward even though they are slowing down to a complete stop

Spinners are everything I hate about cars and modding, we tend to buy Euro cars as they are subtle, we can mod and know ourselves it is better but to anyone else it looks pretty much stock, like adding style 166 alloys or a light tint.
Spinners to me shout "I sold enough rocks and got the money together to buy this car, so I am going to make sure everyone to see me in it!"
Saw some guy sitting in an SLR with spinners on it, sad twat!
