Hi Guys,
I sold my BMW 545 a few weeks ago. It was sad to see her go, but it was the right time to say bye. The new 5 series is coming out in March 2010 in the UK. After alot of thought I decided to pick up a 8 series and make it my project. I haven't seen many modified 8 series cars on the road in the UK. So I found a 840 ci and bought it. It's a 1995 N reg, Individual Daytona Purple with Silver/Grey leather interior. I have ordered some 20 inch alloys and would like some advice on what tyre sizes to use as I can't find much online. The details for the alloys are - Front - 8.5x20" Rear - 9.5x20 " Wider Rears Alloy Wheels. Fitments 5x120 et15, 5x120 et20. Thanks Guys, Nasar P.S - Pictures will follow soon. |

Do you want to lower? Do you/or are you willing to roll fenders? Do you want a stretched looked with the tires? Here is what yours can look like if you do it right which this picture is pure money Attachment 98377 |

Yes I want to lower it and I am willing to roll the fenders.
That stretched look looks amazing!! How can I make mine look like that? What would you recommend? Nice pickup on the 840 though. They are VERY rare and I heard if own one, you should be ready to have a separate savings account to use toward maintenance and repairs. Post pics! |
ok first thing you need to do is figure out what your stock wheels widths and offsets are, that will give you an idea of where your new wheels will sit in the fender wells,
second you might need to buy a 10mm spacer for the rear to make it poke and maybe a 5mm in the front if you are doing 8.5x20/9.5x20 then youll need to roll on 225/35/20 for the fronts and 255/35/20 rears id suggest the proxes 4 in those sizes, its like $530 shipped for all of them then you just need to mount and balance and youll be set also how much of a drop are you looking to do? |
yeah you might actually need 20mm rear spacers and 15mm front spacers to pull of that poke look, the stretch isnt that hard to get

The wheels you picked up are nowhere near wide or low offset enough to look anything like that picture. I'm guessing the wheels in that picture is 9.5-10'' in the front and 10.5-11'' in the rear with front offsets around +18 and rear offsets hovering around +15.

WOw I want a 8 series now. I've seen a couple for sale very resonably priced.
