That seems like a lot of money with such high mileage. You can get an E39 2003 M5 with 45K miles for around $37K.

You should keep looking. That's high mileage. I would be concerned.

Looks very nice ... and I'm sure a blast to drive. What color black is that? Carbon? The price seems about right for So CA and the miles.

I drove my brother's 1988 M3 for a few weeks last summer - it had 188,000 miles on it and still ran great! Just be ready to keep putting money into it: battery, brakes, clutch, radiator, suspension bits, ect... lot's of parts may need replacing over the next 25k miles.

Ok So I was looking on kelly blue book and it says that a 2001 BMW M3 has an average of 73k miles on it and if in excelent condition (which it usually is from a dealer) should retail for $31,000.00... Do you guys suggest I keep looking for a better deal? I really want a m3 bad lol but want to do it right.

mileage is excessively high... go to m5board and ask previous m3 owners about this... I sold my car at 9000miles and already had reliability issues

The price looks good, but I too would look for a lower mileage example. If you really like this car though, make sure to have it fully checked out by a mechanic or even pay to have it certified.

Check out m3forum.com (they have server issues from time to time). There was some discussion on whether an extended warranty is worth the money. Only the 1st owner can get the extended warranty through bmw so an additional warranty would be from an outside company.

It really is a fun car to drive and if you enjoy modding the e60, then you'll have a blast modding the M.

And whatever you do, run the VIN thru CARFAX to check the vehicle history report. You never know what you could be stepping into when it comes to a high performance car like that...
