My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels

After 3 glorious years with our 2009 X5 4.8i Sport, the time has come to move on... Yesterday, I walked into my dealer and custom ordered the following for my wife:

The truck will be getting the Dinan Tune the moment it lands at my dealer. This will push the truck to nearly 500HP/575TQ; giving my M5 a serious run for its money. LOL!

I received my production number today and was told the build start date is set for next week. I should have the truck just after my current X5 lease expires in mid-Feb. I'll also have the option of viewing 3 different months and the various rates for each. Hopefully, my deal gets better as the pick-up date gets closer.

I opted not to do the M Kit, as I really like how this new LCI Aero Kit pairs with Alpine White (white side rocker panels under the running boards are new and the front and rear diffusers are much more aggressive from the old E70 Aero Kit I had on my 09 X5). Since this is a truck, I want to keep the "beefy", yet sporty and aggressive look of what I feel a truck should look like. I also liked that I've yet to see a new LCI Aero Kit on any X5 in NY, but see a ton of M Kits on every X5 model built.

This is how the car will look when I receive it from my dealer. Once I take delivery, I will be making some changes -- the C's Bimmer's way. LOL! The last picture is my old X5 (I will not be doing black wheels on the new X5).

I love how you can get the same model BMW, yet a change in model year or going from pre LCI> LCI can feel like a totally diferent vehicle.
Looks like it'll be pretty awesome

Nice configuration!
Wouldn't it be great if the Greenville plant had real-time webcams so you could watch it being assembled

Now that would be AMAZING!!! I wouldn't be surprised if that becomes the norm in the near future...
