Next M cars is likly to have Turbo 4 and 6, no more 8 and 10

I have mixed feelings about this. I hate the fact that M division will loose it's magic and near legendary history of producing NA cars that could keep up and outperform Audi turbo models or Mercedes supercharged or turbo models, but then there are some benefits to the FI including performance and handling.
I do hope at least they stick to a I6 not a V6 for the future M3.

The I6 is a smooth runner, only the V12 can beat it by physic laws.
But it's a much shorter engine, that's why so many car manufacturers use it.
PS. I just saw a BMW TV documentary, the 3 liter I6 have been with BMW
for some 60 years at least.
