According to car magazine, the new x5 has been delayed until march 2007 and will feature the following engines when it comes out

3.0 turbo diesel : 231bhp/500nm at 1750rpm
3.0 bi-turbo diesel : 281bhp/580nm at 1600 rpm

3.0 bi-turbo petrol : 306bhp/400nm at 1500 rpm
4.4 bi-turbo petrol V8 : 408bhp/600nm at 1400 rpm AMG like torque

oh my dear lord, i should hvae waited for the twin turbo 4.4 v8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !


i like what they are doing, but this turbo...stuff

idon't know...

guess they are fuel efficient (not when your on the pedal)

When do these engines hit the E60???

I presume the x35d engine is the lighter block/enhanced injectors?

no more info sorry. I would expect them to come in the 2007 facelift.

the new 535d for sure , the 3.0 bi-turbo also... As for the big 4.4 bi-turbo i highly
doubt it. I think it will be left for the x5 and the new 7 series when that comes out

are they really coming out with the 4.4 bi-turbo? Is this confirmed? I would trade in my X5 for 4.4 bi-turbo..

That 400bhp mark for the 4.4T sounds very close to the predicted new M3 output? Nah...

Gas price keep increasing. No more V8 consideration
Time to by 3.0L bi-turbo. Should be good enough.
