Can i plug and play a navigation system unit to a non navigation system unit and would it work or what do I need for it to work.....ive have 2004 325ci convertible that has just a cd player with the temperature control unit and I am planning on upgrading it with a 2005 330ci navigation system but I don't know if I can just plug and play.....any advice would be very much appreciated

 

It will probably require coding. I'd call a BMW dealer parts department and ask them that question.

 

Thanks for the help but I also would like to know is would my 325ci have all the harness to plug in bcuz of being a non navigation or do I need to buy harness....would everything plug in place?

 

Like I said, ask the parts guy those questions. Don't expect it to be plug and play though.
