My Ride: My 1st was an '06 530xi, Titanium Silver w/ gray dakota leather, sport pkg. & Nav. Now my 2nd is an '08 650i CP, Space Gray, Blk Dakota, Sprt. Auto, HUD, Sprt. Pkg., Prem. Sound, High Beam Ast. & Comfort Access
Default

I put my 530xi in the shop today for its 30,000 mile service and the dealer gave me a 335i. The engine is very impressive! There really is no turbo lag when compared to other turbos I have driven. In the sport mode this little rocket screams. I like the paddle shifters, as the car appears to change gears much quicker than my current vehicle. The handling is of course all BMW, tight and precise.
This car has the upgraded seats but they are not as comfortable as the e60. It also has the logic 7 system. I have never had the chance to listen to this before but I am sold now. My next car will have the stereo upgrade.
With the exceleration this engine provides and the fuel consumption numbers it is a definite threat to the 550.

Agree, fantastic performance with the 6MT as well. You are right about the seats too, my only gripe so far.

I agree that the car is indeed nice and fast, but it will never threaten the 550 for people who are 6'2" or taller (like me). The 3 series head-room is pathetic.

Yea the car is a rocket. Imagine with the Vishnu system 60hp and 80lbs of torque 0-60 / 4.3 secs and the catback exhaust.

wish they made something for our E60's.

Talking

I just purchased the 535xi which has the same engine as the 335 and it screams. I've been very easy on it but drove it to Virginia from NY and Back for a little R&R with the wifes family. What a ride it was. I try to keep it under 90 on the way down and set the computer to let me know when I went over. That damn thing must have rang 15 times causing me to slow it down everytime I went over. I love the car and if anyone is going to purchase a new vehicle anytime soon, and your in NY or Jersey, go to prestige BMW on route 17south and ask for HUGO, tell him Rick Garcia sent you. Be prepared to fight for your price, they are very fair and an excellent dealership. I highly recommend a Logic 7 option. Once you here this in the car you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
