How many miles do you have on your 545i? Have you had any major problems with it?

Long time no chat Don. Welcome back!

You might want to change the title of your thread. It says 535 isntead of 335.

Looking forward to your quarter mile runs with the new car.

Hi Everyone. Thanks for the welcomes back. I see a few checked my pics out. Check em out if you didn't do so. The burgundy is a nice color--as I hear coming soon to the 5 series.

BrianTx5: I have just a tad over 24k--far short of my allowed 30k. I have had absolutely no major problems with my 5. The battery died this month after three years, and I once had to have the transmitter for my keys replaced. The only real annoyance with my car has been the quality of the software updates. Often it is one step forward and two back. The last one, whatever it was, was terrible. I have just been ignoring it since my car was due to be returned soon.

535i on this thread. I'll see if it is still fixable. I also had 535i on the pic album I linked above before I noticed and corrected.

I am looking at an M Roadster. Not sure if I'll get it. I like the car, but it is a bit loud with the top up at speed. Second, as with other top performing BMW's, the gas mileage is not good--14 and 22 mpg.
European Car has a Z4M coupe as a long term tester. They have put 20,000 miles on it and have averaged a combined 22 mpg.

Thanks much JB. I already was planning on calling today to put a deposit down on the silver M Roadster that is available in town. The mileage info bolsters my courage. I am planning to do the Dinan optional 3.91 LSD for the car. 8% increase in road torque. Decent bang for the buck. I usually can get 20% of the price of Dinan through my dealer--which is a Certified Dinan Installer. Oh, I see Scottsdale on you. Talking North Scottsdale BMW.

Hey thanks; you too.

Change of mind-from Silver/Imola Red/Polished Aluminum M-Roadster to Double Imola/Carbon Fiber M-Roadster--coming directly to my dealer.
