I think this might actually be my next car for the wife... I think its really perfect as far as small SUVs go. Here is the official BMW website which is a triumph in of itself

Absolutely. Still not sure the point of X1. Are they competing with RAV4 and CR-V?

rrnag30 07-17-2009 06:54 AM

just a thought..

what if they were to phase out the bigger engines (x5) (for the sake of our green earth) and they are transitioning to lighter vehicles...they are opting to smaller engines fitted with turbos. See the new 7 engine?
this theory doesnt really hold up though since they are planning on x5 M's lol.

granted this is better looking than the X3

and why are they competing with companies and vehicle niches that are not their bread and butter????
expansion can have negative effects long term.

i personally really like the look of this little thing .. so much so, that my M is likely to be replaced with it..
before you all shout at me, it's because the M is just not getting used.. and over here in Blitey, since owning E60's my wife has struggled with parking spcaes.. locally, they're just too small .. highlighted by the fact that i end up with little knocks and scrapes (not her fault I might add).
fed up with the worry involved in owning the M

I hear you. Its PIA to try keeping a car like that nice and clean. :)

I kinda like it. Still prefer the X5 even though its a gas guzzler

this x1 is great looking. the x3 is gross, would much rather have this than the x3 for sure. x5 is too much for me and the fuel economy is terrible. i love the x1
