Miss my 5 series !!!!!
The dash in the 328 looks like something from an old Dodge Polaris.
Getting Sirius installed. They should bring my car to me tomorrow and take the loaner home.

I have a 3er Seris and a 5er Series. There is minimal difference in the dashboards. The greatest difference I can think of is the arrangement of the turn signals in the cluster, which is much better in the 3er.

I too have a 335xi loaner in my garage right now, and I'm quite pleased with the interior, except that the color is not to my taste.

The 335 is certainly a fun car. It's the most time I've spent in an E90, and I'm quite impressed with the interior room compared to the E46. The E60 isn't much larger on the inside, except for a bit of width. Perhaps I can lure my wife out of her X3 at the end of her lease.
However, I will not be disappointed when I get my V8 back, with four fresh camshaft position sensors.

The automatic was more of a mixed bag. While I couldn't find too many faults with it, it certainly isn't tempting me to give up my extra pedal. The shifts were very crisp and quick, but downshifting while braking was a jarring experience at times. I guess I expected more after all the glowing reviews.

If you make an appointment, you will always get a BMW loaner.

You probably are past your warranty, reason for the deposit.

You should probably start by asking the dealer what their policy is. Once you learn that, you can determine if you're getting a bum deal or not. If you're unhappy about the policy, shop around to other dealers and see if they have a loaner policy that you prefer...

Had a 328xi loaner and loved it. Fun to drive. Great in the city. Handling reminded me of a Honda Prelude I used to own. In some ways enjoyed driving it more than my 5.

I completely agree.

My brother-in-law just got a new E90 335i. I think the interior actually looks better than my 5-series.
To put it into perspective, I think that the new 5er interior (LCI) looks better than the 3er but the 3er interior looks better than the pre-LCI 5er.
