Fastest BMW at Nürburgring...an X5?

My Ride: 545i; Manual Shifter
There's a very good possibility that I misread the information, but this list seems to show that BMW's fastest offering at the world famous Nordschleife is a specially built Le Mans X5 driven by none other than Hans Stuck. In 2001, Stuck achieves an amazing 7:49.93 lap time in a V12 powered SUV built by BMW.

BTW, I believe that list is self-selecting -- i.e. it only provides times that are self-reported by the drivers/manufacturers. I believe someone ran the Z8 through the 'Ring in something like a ridiculous sub 7:40 and there are always legends floating around about the Ring Taxi taking an E39 M5 through the course in an unbelievable time of under 8:00 flat... wonder what she would clock out at with the LeMans X5 ...

Nice! Too bad for us, this is a one-time, one-of-a-kind X5 with no further plans to produce and sell to consumers.

Oh ya the X5 Lemans... ya... I got a Vid of it with Hans test driving it... you should hear that engine!!! OMG its soooooo sweet!
