How many of you 335i owners have experienced any problems with your vehicles? I've heard of the overheating and engine malfunction incidents. Have you experienced these?

Please state your model/tranny/year and also, what the approximate conditions were when it occurred. Thanks

p.s. this is my research before I plunge into a 335i coupe :-)

Previously only 6sp manual cars received oil coolers, now all sport package cars have them. If you don't order the sport package you don't get the oil cooler. It can be retrofited.

I haven't had any overheating or "malfunction" issues on my car at all. It drives great! My usual oil temp is about 240F. I've seen it go as high as 260F briefly, but not very often.

2007 335 E93. Auto w/Sport Package. 3850 miles. Yes, it does have the oil cooler installed.
