The previous M versions of the 3 and 5 series (e46 and e39) had more or less the same look to the front bumper and spoiler. That doesn't seem to be the case this time around.
M3 @ worldcarfans.com Here are the latest pictures taken of the upcoming e90 M3 without the bra covering the bumper. Attachment 21658 Attachment 21659 Attachment 21660 |

Here is a photoshop dated back to December '05 (perhaps even earlier!) that is said to be a rendition of the e90 M3 created from 'insider' information:
Attachment 22122 Now compare it to the spy photo I posted above: Attachment 22125 Whoever the insider was leaked accurate information to the one that created the photoshop. Now, here is a photoshop of the rear from the same source: Attachment 22123 Notice that the rear tail lights are accurate as well! Based on this, there is a very high probability that the rear spoiler and quad tail-pipes will look just like what we see in the photoshop. Finally, take a look at a photoshop of the M3 interior...again from the same source: Attachment 22124 I understand that we truly won't know until we hear it announced officially from BMW themselves and it's very easy for us to disregard a lot of this information (M mirrors weren't incorporated and rear license plate seems to be located too low on the bumper). However, it's difficult to deny whoever the 'insider' was since he/she has hit the mark on several locations as I've depicted with the bubbles above. |
Hah SMG gearbox with a clutch pedal. What's that all about?!
Anyway...i'm willing to wait for the real thing cuz sometimes even when the real pics come out they still don't do justice when you see the car up front. |

Anyway...i'm willing to wait for the real thing cuz sometimes even when the real pics come out they still don't do justice when you see the car up front. By comparing the photoshops of the front end to the spy photos of the test mule, it seems the one who created the pshop had accurate info from the mystery 'insider'. Therefore, it's probable that we are looking at what the rear and interior of the car will be. I'm quite aware that this is only speculation. And for your information... In addition to having gear selector paddles on the steering wheel, Formula One cars use to have a clutch pedal just a few years ago; primarily for launching the car from standstill. Now, they use a lever located behind the steering wheel. |
Alright! A Clutch override for SMG!!!!!

Yes I noticed the clutch/SMG knob combo too, but you missed the point. :nono:

Therefore, it's probable that we are looking at what the rear and interior of the car will be. I'm quite aware that this is only speculation. I understand that and that's by far smth too interesting for me. Those are pshops and even if it hits 90% of the lines of the new car still those are not real pics. Real pics, in real life background where angle and lots more count make in the end the best look of the car, of course, no comparing to seeing it with your own eyes. I was just giving a personal advice that we should not anticipate this much cuz even if some may love the lines in the pshops if they prove worse than the real model (wich i hope ain't :D ) then one can have some deceptions. That's all. Just my advice and i understood perfectly your point. And for your information... In addition to having gear selector paddles on the steering wheel, Formula One cars use to have a clutch pedal just a few years ago; primarily for launching the car from standstill. Now, they use a lever located behind the steering wheel. What's that got to do with the little critic i made?! I just had a laugh thinking that the bloke that made the pshops was i dunno either pretty dumb not knowing that you can't have a clutch pedal with a SMG "in a non formula 1 car :P ", well in an M car to be more precise, or the guy just wanted to share the vision of 2 pics in one (showing both the SMG tranny and paddels and the OMG 3 pedal set-up for manual gearboxes). The last isn't that viable if you ask me. Or just a minour error. Anyway if you wana talk formula 1 hit me baby. Spot on! I don't know where did you think i didn't know that?! |
PS: Small correction F1 steering wheels have 4 padles, 2 activating clutch 2 for +/- gear selector. But i'm sure you already knew that. ;)

These are located just above the keyhole. You know, where the drivers insert the car keys to start the car. Except BMW F1 cars have Comfort Access.
