are you going to sell your e61?

Don't know, but I have put my name down to make sure I get a 335i sport touring if I want it.

I am racking up so many miles I would be wise to swap before I get to 40k miles. I was offered ?33k for mine today against an E92.
I just love the 5 still at the moment and don't want to swap really.
Off to St. Tropez next week and driving, and for that the 535d is better than any other car at all, can't think of one that betters it.
160kmph all day and still returns around 33mpg, means I only have to fill up once on the way there. Not many cars I can do 900 miles in without stopping and not be completely done in when I get there, but I can in this.

I totally agree, and besides it would probably feel like a step back down on the ladder, not in power but you will go from 5 to 3 (so that's minus 2 )

Some news:

The 335dA (always autotrans) will have 580 Nm torque and some +280 hp.

I.e. the new and improved version of the current 535dA engine version...

Yup!
But i'm afraid not enough to go under the 1700km scale, the whole car that is. 1735 for the current one.

Trust me - it's definitely shorter than 1700km...

Any weight saving is always welcome

Of course it's always welcome. We'll see how heavy will the new 535d be.

Probably won't be as quick as the 535d, slightly detuned like the 330d.
It won't be as quick - it will be a LOT quicker

We'll see by how much...0-62 like in 6 seconds or less?! Considering it will still be an automatic...
