E70 X5 option list

Hi
My father and I test drove an E70 X5 3,0d with the optional Adaptive drive and Active Steering.
The car is great but the Adaptive Drive is a 6000 dollar option here in Norway.
Do you REALLY need it?
The car gets quite expensive with the necessary equiptment (aprox 200.000 dollars without the adaptive drive)
Can you tell the difference by a huge margin if you buy a car without it?
I really need an on this one, guys...

I can only quote what ha been said in tests; and the AD is really an improvement over the somewhat harsh standard drive. With the AD the car is calmer and at the same time like an gocart to drive. But I do agree that the option list on the X5 is really "spiced". And I don't think you'll increase the residual value that much if you opt for AD...
