So after going back and forth the past few weeks between an F10 and E90 M3 I finally decided on an E90 M3. I test drove an F10 535i fully loaded driectly followed by an E90 M3 sedan with DCT. Both are great cars in their own right, but the M3 honestly felt closer to my current e60 than the F10, just with a lot more fun factor and feeling of road connectivity. Nothing bad to say about the F10 here, just not the car for me right now. I'm hoping the F10 LCI model will have a few more upgrades to the suspension and handling as I would not mind ordering an f10 for my next lease. By then I'm sure all of us will love and praise the f10 anyway A few things that made my decision go away from the F10/go with the M3, the current lease rates put the f10 and M3 sedan very very close in cost. Back seat space is not that much smaller in the M3 than my current e60, 2 adults fit comfortably back there. Trunk space is slightly smaller in the M3, but it's not like I'm transporting a stroller or golf bags. Already read of a few N55 engine hpfp problems, I've so far been able to dodge hpfp n54 issues, not sure if I want to try my luck this time around. If you are asking why I didn't consider an f10 550i/tt v8 as no reports of problems there...cost wise with the current lease rates with all the options needed would have blown the budget. I got a great deal with this M3 as well That being said...here's the specs for the M3 I ordered:

Alpine White
Black Novillo Leather
CF Leather Trim
Premium Pkg 2
Competition Pkg
Navigation
Ipod/USB
Alarm
Mooroof

now comes the waiting and daily checking/tracking of my order

The M3 takes 3-4 days to build. Its a little murky because my car went "150 Production Started" back in late july but with the factory closed for August, it was completed Sept 7th. I think there were some smaller additional delays because of the new combox hardware being delayed. Completed 9/7, departed Bremerhaven on 9/17...

So I would guess actual production started 9/3 there abouts, giving us 25 days from SOP to arriving tonight in Georgia!

not a bad turn around time, since I'm on the west coast the shipping vessel will have to go thru the panama canal before going up to the west coast...so a bit longer for me
