The Head of BMW, Dr Norbert Reithofer, said yesterday in a telcon with investors re the issue of BMW going FWD with the launch of its City Car, or 0-series as some have called it, that the issue may not be as big as some thinks. In a customer survey 80% of owners of a 1-series car thought the car had front wheel drive.
 Talk about buying a status image and not a car. |
That's retarded! I don't believe that 80% of 1er owners don't know what the heck they have under their butts.
They probably took those stats out of the same crack that produced the F10 exterior design, no doubt :P  |
If it is true that 80% of 1 series owners think it's FWD, then those 80% should be banned from ever joining the BMWCCA or any other enthusiast group. They should be stripped of the opportunity to buy any further BMW's period.

Hmm, maybe a new slogan for the 1er:
Yes, it's RWD, amazing isn't it? |
"The customer's always right"
that's not what umnizta said. :wow: :wow: :wow: |
Anyone buying a 1er, MB B-class or Audi A3 is only buying the car for the badge. Here in Manila, if you park a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord beside a 1er, B-class or A3, a car-guy will give more respect to the Japanese cars but a person who doesn't like cars will adore those Germans.
