I've seen several of those here in Dallas, once at the BMW dealership
dropped off for service and a couple on the road. However they have
all been silver. For all I know it's probably the same car
That red looks smokin' hot!

I think all I've seen is silver as well (maybe the same car you saw, Frank!). There was one at a local dealership last summer that was silver with red leather interior. It's just got such a classic design and feel. I was in love.

Z8 = they are very very nice ... there's been one in town here in So. NJ but I've not seen it out this past summer. Wonder if they sold it, stored it, or moved to Florida?

Really? I actually like the back a lot, I think it's cool how it's fat but has slim taillights.

Okay, I am a BMW fanatic and I absolutely love the holy grail model 507 that the Z8 is supposed to pay homage to. But, for some odd reason, I just don't understand the Z8. I never liked it. Thought the design was too close to a Z3 and that the interior was cheap looking. Can someone PLEASE explain to me the fascination. I really want to like the car.

well to me, its one of the nicest cars ever to be produced by anyone, let alone the pleasure that it was a BMW...i do think it surely is a follow on to the 507 as history shows in the pix below at Zentrum. Its exotic, and classic at the same time, very modern while retaining historical themes...i dont at all think Z3 in it when i look at these beauties, but as the saying goes, its all in the eye of the beholder....id take one in a sec!
