i'm really waiting on BMW supercar.

audi with the R8, now merc with SLS AMG; where is BMW's!?

and i think i speak with everyone that;

i think bmw should concentrate less on such model like X-series (X5, X3, X6, X1) which dilute the brand.

now, they are diluting the ///M brand with such monstrosity like the X5M and X6M.

BMW, really desperately needs a redeeming halo car in my book.

///M1 successor please. Z9 successor would be fine too

btw, why does car like the M-car and SLS AMG doesn't have flat under body and proper venturi tail?

i really wish bmw, would build a supercar with;

1) either all Electric or Full on ICE (without the hybrid rubbish).
2) full flat underbody, with venturi tail.
3) Mid-Engine or front-mid layout.
4) 2-seater.

how is the news with that efficient dynamic concept?

Try driving an X6M before you call it a monstrosity. It is an incredible, incredible vehicle, better then almost anything else I have ever tried. It can also run circles around the Cayanne Turbo and costs over $20K less.

They may "DILUTE" the brand, but they sell to more people than any supercar will, and BMW is a company interested in the bottom line!

True, but still no super car for the select few.

That is so true. BMW is just not into building supercars. It really hasn't built one since the M1 of yore and every time a supercar is one the table at BMW, it gets torpedoed. BMW really is about building cars that make money. Supercars lose money (although they do help with brand image) as even their sky-high prices, coupled with low sale volume, don't usually pay for their development costs. And I just don't think that a BMW supercar would be able to command Ferrari/Lambo prices (see MB's debacle with the first SLR). I believe that BMW has concluded that its brand image is solid and that it does not need a money/resource-sucking supercar to assist it with brand image.

Although I do not like tall cars with high centers of gravity, there seems to be a demand for them as well as for SUVs which is why BMW is devoting so much of its resources to these segments.
