BMW Smartswap kit for E46 retrofit taillights

Has anyone here bought the Smartswap kit from Cadent Technologies, Inc that allowed you to connect the LED Taillights for the E46 to pre facelift cars? I know that our taillights are completely different and the fact that our LCI taillights are far more complex because of the combination of bulbs and LEDs. However it will be interesting to see what these guys have used to enable a normal car to use the LED lights.
