BMW does not realize what they are doing. Long time BMW enthusiasts are getting REALLY pissed off.

Things started to go wrong when the two heads (Bernd Pischetsrieder and I forget the name of the other fool) began inhouse fighting and both got 'kicked-out' by the old lady. Thats when the design took a turn (for the worst) and BMW started to ignore the core wants of its long term followers. That said, of late I sense BMW slowly beginning to turn back although I can't be 100% sure. The new performance bits for the 1series and 3series is a good thing. Investing in those huge X5 and X6 is a total waste of time.
IMHO, Bernd Pischetsrieder knew his cars and the designs when he was CEO were typical BMW. Then he left and I think ended up at VW and look at the audis when he was head. manyBMW owners have moved to Audi. That said once Bernd Pischetsrieder left VW, their car designs are going down the drains. The older Audi's and VW look better than the new ones coming out.
cheers

I wouldn't write off the ///M Just yet. I recall the same was said for the Z3 and it just took a couple of years for the ///M Roadster to hit the showroom.
