love the M3 conv, but whats with this whole RED car thing at the moment? The red in the pic Knightcom posted looks great as it has more depth, but these light reds just look a little cheap IMHO. BMW, Audi and Benz seem to be using red on a lot of their demo cars / ads. There's even Red as an option with the 5er Edition Sport, but unfortunately Imola Red and not Indionapolis Red.
Is RED meant to be the next trend colour, following on from white???

GREAT looking car.
However, I thought I saw where the 0-60 numbers for the convertible M3 were north of 5 seconds, like 5.2 or so. If that is true, then it would be losing quite a lot of time from the specs for the sedan and coupe.
Anyone seen this in writing from a credible source?

2008 BMW M3 Convertible brochure lists it at 5.1 sec 0-60. Was disappointed in that - but it is a heavy vehicle 4145 lbs. (unladen weight) which makes it slower than the coupe/sedan that weigh several hundred lbs. less...weight is a performance killer.
Another sad note on the M3 vert is that for 2008 BMW had a late change and the shadowline beltline and hard top trim is NOT available here in the US...you have to get the chrome trim like the 335i vert. It is avail in Europe this year and I'm hoping it is an option for the 2009 models here in the US. This was verified by my dealer as I was spec'ing out my order and every one I've seen in person has the chrome trim...

I just wish the car had a more dramatic wider stance to differentiate between standard and M model. I love the car in silverstone and alpine white
