Yeah....it's a pity also what FIA did to the sport. ETCC was a much more fun to watch in those days, but with WTCC and the diesel Seats and other stuff, made it simply a regulation dictated sport, in which the winning is done not by the driver but by the teams and how well they apply the regulations to their cars.

And yes i agree smth like this could have happened. It's too weird for me. Stopped watching WTCC a long time ago, when it became more related to crashing that pure clean racing.

I never seen a WTCC race
sounds like I not missing much.

nope!

Imagine factory teams having around 5 cars or more and when the runner up to the title drives in the last race, think how easy it is for the other team to send a non important driver touching the runner up, sending him into a spin and loosing the title. Bare in mind that soft contacts are allowed in this sport.
