My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels
Guys,
My cousin just picked up his 2007 X5 4.8i. The dealer didn't connect his bluetooth to his Moto Razr. Anyone know the procedure to do this. I tried searching for devices last night on their phone, while having the BT active, but it didn't find it. I'm thinking it's a different procedure than the E60.
Can anyone help? I did some searches on X5World, but it's for all the older models.
Thanks!

Have you set the Razr to "discoverable"?

Under what Menu is that? I've gone into connections, bluetooth, devices, etc. etc.. Searched/Scanned for devices. Tried it all. I didn't see "discoverable"...
1. Create a link between your Motorola RAZR Phone and any Bluetooth Accessory 1.0 and up, you need to turn the Bluetooth connection "on". This is how: Go into your phone "settings". > Then select "Connection" > "Bluetooth Link" > "Set Up" > "Power" > "On". The connection will stay on until you turn it off. We recommend to turn it off when not in use to preserve battery life.
2. To connect your RAZR to another Bluetooth hands free kit or headset, go into "Settings" > "Connection" > "Bluetooth Link" > "Handsfree" > (Look for Device). You phone will scan for available devices located within the range of the RAZR, approx 30 feet away. If your cell phone is already connected to a Blue Tooth headset, you must disconnect from it to find other devices. Once you have identified your bluetooth device, highlight its name and click on the "select" button.
3. The Bluetooth device will ask permission to connect. Select "yes" and press the "select" button; after that you will be prompted to insert a PIN code to initiate a secure connection. The PIN code is usually provided by the Bluetooth device manufacturer, not the RAZR. Once the connection is made, you should see the bluetooth logo displayed on the internal screen, while the external screen Bluetooth indicator will flash.

Thanks man. Really appreciate it. I'll give it a shot and let you know. I can't believe this has been so difficult on the E70. It was cake on my E60 and I synced my phone and my wifes in like 2 mins. Strange...

If you still have difficulties try another phone with the X5 just in case the Razr decided to act on his own.
But I do have the Blackberry 8700g for work. I believe that has BT. Maybe I'll try that. Good thinking! Once again, thx!
