My Ride: 2002 BMW 530i - Silver
2008 BMW X5 xDrive 30d - Black
2007 Audi TT 3.2 Quattro - Silver
I have an X5 xDrive30d. While the xDrive30i has 272hp and 315Nm, the 30d has 235hp and 520Nm. With those figures, the 30d and 30i have the same 0-100 time(8.1 secs). The 35d your interested in gets from 0 to 100 7secs.
I suggest you get the diesel, its more economical, more powerful and has a higher top speed. My diesel X5 isn't noisy inside but when you open the window while driving you will really hear it.
Its doesn't produce the ugly sound of diesel pick-up trucks when you step on the gas either. While a petrol engine sounds better when you step on the gas, the X5 diesel doesn't sound bad. It also revs higher than other diesels. My 30d revs up to 5000rpm while other diesels like the ML320 CDI only goes above 4500.
Also, get the Dynamic Drive! It will really help when you corner fast. I don't have active steering though .
Don't look at other SUVs like a Porsche Cayenne and a Merc ML . Stick with the X5.
Hope I helped .
