It looks like "The Ring"...

It looks like "The Ring"... Can you just walk in to see that track, or is it off-limits to the general public? |
It's public.
But you have to wait, and wait, and wait... forever. The Ring is more than 20 Km's long, a new M5 needs around 8 minutes for a lap... But it's public. You can just go there and take a look what's going on. You can even make a couple laps yourself some days, when there is no manufacturer testing... Beewang just went there when he did ED, and he saw the e60 M5 during testing... |
hmm..not bad. but for me the front lip is too boring. I prefer hamann.

I prefer hamann Most will agree that compared to previous 5 Series cars, the E60 is a bit less conservative, so I think Alpina's touch is a definite plus. And what you can't see in the pic is that rear lip spoiler, which I think, (based on past Alpina spoilers) is probably going to look the best on a stock E60. Just my $.02... R.R. |

Anyone have good pics of the rear spoiler. I think that might be interesting add on. few highway shots of the B5 that were taken a few months back: [attachment=3562:attachment] [attachment=3563:attachment] You can see that the spoiler has some attachment at an angle to the decklid, such that it doesn't just sit on top of the trunk. To me it sort of puts a whole different shape to the back of the car. Also notice the lower rear bumper: Ground effects are minimal (if any) and in fact, it looks like they just cut the opening for the exhaust a little wider. Their design(s) ensure that a stock E60 won't look like its missing something. Link to Alpina B5 Spy pics |
