Active steering for E70 X5??
#1
Hi guys..
I really need your help on this one. My father is about to get himself a new car and the dealer came with a sweet deal on a E70 X5. The problem is that this car does not have the optional Active Steering.
Is this crucial on modern BMWs let alone the E70 X5??
I prefer the E60 without it, but perhaps this really is necessary on the X5?
Pleas give me your advice on this one...
For arguments sake... the M-cars does not have it, but will it ruin the X5 without it ?

My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........
If he does most of his driving in the city it would be nice,,, But I dont have it on mine and really love it , but it takes a few minutes to get used to it after driving my 550 with it. Bottom line, you won't miss it you've never had it. It's nice to have ,not a must have especially if you are not an enthusiastic driver.

Go for it!
My guess is that, when you get used to the AS you cannot live without it.

Hi.
The car is fantastic! Feels very liberating to drive without the Active steering interference. The car sits on the optional 20 in sports wheels and the steeringwheel is
a bit hard to turn when the vehicle is stationary. A problem more obvious to the soccer moms, but it really isnt a problem.
Thanks for your advice
