So this is for an x5 e53 but thought you v8 guys would maybe be of help. Truck runs ok at times but always has some rough cylinders in bank 2. I have attached some inpa data screen shots.
all the normal stuff coils plugs ccv have been done already. Codes on misfires and inlet vanos bank 2. If I drive moderately I can avoid coded for the most part. Also goes into limp home mode when it codes. Not sure what that means but it runs worse until I clear that.
Have you swapped cam solenoids to see if the code switch banks. To me there's an adjustment issue that looks like a clog somewhere. What code are you getting.

I replaced the solenoids made zero difference. When I look at the data in inpa live everything seems to be doing what it’s suppose to do. Code is 2a84. This code does not set a check light. It will be there if I pull codes after an event.
Was the sensors OEM or aftermarket. Aftermarket is not good to get on a BMW for sensors that make the car run. Was a adaption reset done after the solenoids were replaced? Are you sure you didn't mix up the solenoid connectors? Is the oil clean? These things I would look at to clear your code. I wouldn't the the exhaust CAM sensor would be the issue nor the crank sensor (because you'd have a different symptom). But who knows.

Didn’t mix up the sensor plugs checked and rechecked. Changed oil. Cleared codes and adaptations dozens of times. It’s a very odd issue. This I not my first n62. I’m running out of ideas. If someone can interpretative the values from inpa that would point to something that would be great. The cam adaptation they is 150 never resets no matter what I do. It’s also out of range but I’m not sure if it really means anything.
That's where I got something was clogged or not reading correctly. Ohm out you exhaust cam sensor to see if it's working.
I have not look at the exhaust cam sensors but I will. The code is always for the inlet bank 2. I think I am going to have to back probe the sensors and see what’s really happening.
